Doesn't look like organic computers will be replacing electronic ones anytime soon - but from a scientific, rather than technological, point of view
As a nice little follow on from yesterdays post about quantum computing, here's an article about organic computing: computers built entirely out of organic materials with molecules that talk to each other. You can even think of yourself as a giant organic computer if you wish. Although there are many dissidents from this computational philosophy of mind.

Organic Computing is based on the insight that we will soon be surrounded by large collections of autonomous systems & increasingly depend on — as robust, safe, flexible, and trustworthy as possible.

Well, It's really an innovative idea. As people are moving to organic or natural products for eating and decorating then going for an organic computer will be one step ahead.
