Contact usAs Newton's Nerd celebrates its biggest year in its computer servicing side it is worth reflecting on a few of the changes that have take place in the computer industry since Newton's Nerds first incorporated as Tru Services in 2003 (eight years ago).
At the same time as we were getting started a small business launched a website with the aim of helping professionals network with each other. There must have been something magical about their website because as we were repairing computers and pools, this little website was becoming more and more popular. It quickly reached the top of Google and today the website is conservatively estimated to have twelve million visitors each day. Their website designers must be even better than ours. The business I am talking about is known today as LinkedIn.
At the same time, a well known computer hardware company launched a new piece of software for Windows computers. The software was filled with bugs and caused many computer to crash and need substantial repairs. None the less, the number of people who used the software kept growing and growing. According to wired magazine the software is now used by approximately two hundred million users. The software we are talking about is Apple Computer's iTunes.
So Newton's Nerds has not grown at the same rate as some of these companies but we are truly proud of the fact that we have helped thousands of people with there computers and pools. We would like to take this time as an opportunity to thank our team and the many people who have supported us this year, and every year we have been in business. We look forward to 2010 as our newly added web design settles into the group and the computer repair and training side continues to grow.
